It’s quite surprising that reciting Surah Al-Kahf is not emphasized as one of the recommended deeds on a Friday here in Malaysia. The acts usually mentioned are sadaqah (charity), clipping nails, showering with the specific intention for Friday, and wearing white. All of these are commendable, but in other countries—especially in the MENA region and the Western world—Muslims place greater emphasis on reciting Surah Al-Kahf.
