I’ve been watching Hell’s Kitchen a lot lately for the past two years or so. But recently, I watched Top Chef again (specifically Season 4) and I have to say that the level of creativity (shown through playing mostly) is way higher than Hell’s Kitchen. Then, I watched Season 8 and then Season 20 of Top Chef. I have to say that the latter is just on another level. Their plating is out of this world, so much that I want to start cooking. So good that now that I’m watching the latest season of Hell’s Kitchen, their plating looks really bad. Top Chef may have ruined Hell’s Kitchen for me.

This comparison reminds me of Grey’s Anatomy vs House about 10 years ago. The former focuses more on drama while the latter is more on medical stuff. Hell’s Kitchen is Grey’s Anatomy in this case.
